Eligibility Criteria

Selection Process and Exam Pattern

The selection process is a multi-stage evaluation designed to test the candidate's technical knowledge, aptitude, and interpersonal skills.

  • 1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) / Online Test (85 Marks)
    • This is the primary screening test.
    • The paper will be objective (MCQ) type.
    • Negative Marking applies: 0.33 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
    • Candidates must meet category-wise minimum qualifying marks in the aggregate:
      • UR/EWS: 40%
      • SC/OBC: 35%
      • ST/PwBD: 30%

      ...as well as in sectional qualifying marks.

  • 2. Personal Interview (PI) (15 Marks)
    • Shortlisted candidates from the CBT will be called for the Personal Interview in a ratio of 1:3 (vacancy: candidates).
  • 3. Document Verification & Pre-employment Medical Examination
    • Final selection is subject to successful Document Verification and clearing the Pre-employment Medical Examination.

Salary Structure and Service Bond

Assistant Manager (HR&A/F&A): Pay Level–08 (ROPA-2020) with a Basic Pay range of ₹56,100 – ₹1,60,500 per month, plus allowances (DA, HRA, Medical, etc.).

Junior Engineer (Electrical) Gr-II: Pay Matrix-Level 06 (ROPA-2020) with a Basic Pay range of ₹36,800 – ₹1,06,700 per month, plus allowances.

Selected candidates for Assistant Manager posts must execute an Employment Bond of ₹3,00,000/-, and for Junior Engineer posts, ₹2,00,000/-, committing to a minimum of 4 years of service with WBSEDCL.
